Swaziland Boxing Associations Print E-mail

Image SWABA was established way back in the mid 1960's but it was in 1975 when an official team was sent to represent the country internationally that a constitution was made for the association. SWABA is the national governing body for amateur boxing in the country.

Its main objective is to promote, encourage and develop widest participation in amateur boxing, and the highest proficiency among its members in pursuit of excellence. Achievements include:

Sending boxers to events like Zone VI, All Africa Games, Commonwealth and Olympic Games.

Producing boxers like Dan Mathunjwa and Leonard "Slashing Tiger" Makhanya who obtained medals in such events.
